MINDSET

By Stephen Sadler

Mindset is a science fiction thriller about the boundless reaches of the human imagination, and the innovations that are best left inside our minds.

Jack Cooper is a leading neuroscientist who invents a new wireless mobile device, named the Mindset. This incredible instrument easily converts thoughts into text via smart phone. Without Jack’s knowledge, the technology is sold to a Venture Capital firm, who modifies it toward their own dark ends. By refusing to let his device be hi-jacked, Cooper is taken on a thrill ride of deception, abduction, and mind-control.

Ultimately, Jack learns he is the only one who can navigate this new surreal landscape and stop what never should have started in the first place.

Only one question remains - Is it just too late?

From The Author

Over the last 30 years, I have spent a majority of my time inventing and building products, software, and technologies. Recently, I came to a point in my life where I still loved inventing and creating, but I was tired of having to make things work and keep them operational. Interestingly enough, writing has become my release. When I write, especially sci-fi stories, I still feel the same reward of invention and creation; however, I don’t have to build a prototype, or even write one line of code. As matter of fact, after the research is done, all I have to do is explain it, say it works, and magically all the technology in the story works, just because I said it did! Obviously, this is far easier than conceiving an idea, patenting it, building a business and marketing plan, procuring sales and investment, and so on, and so on. Seriously though, I really love to write, and the older I get the more it seems like my passion.

We all know many concepts and ideas born in sci-fi can become reality. So I hope this book will help to slow down evil usages of future ideas and inventions. However, based on history, I doubt it.

Mindset has many parallels to my own life that are very close to my heart. I really hope you like the story.

Cheers,
Stephen Sadler
